REFREsh project’s kick-off meeting was completed successfully
The international REFREsh (aimed at revitalizing the rural cultural heritage) project’s kick off meeting was completed successfully on the18th September 2017, 70 km from Leipzig, in Klosterbuch, in an old monastery.
Each of the 5 countries participating in the project were represented at the kick-off meeting and made a short presentation of their organization and its activities.
The afternoon period was full with a detailed discussion about the professional content of the project, and the presentations of the 11 work packages, discussion of the main dates.
The first period, which runs until December 2017, has three main tasks. The development and management company in Germany called Saxonia is responsible for this period’s success.
During this period, partners make in each region a best practice analysis needed for revitalization, establish a benchmark tool and analyze the needs of the selected scene for the integration.
The results of this period will be the basis for the second thematic work package, where the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya will be the lead partner. This period starts in January 2018, and finishes in December 2019. During this period, the main tasks are that five regional strategies for the integration of creative scene are created, then out of these strategies one joint transnational strategy for the integration of creative scene is made.
The third thematic work package is led by Piran, Slovenia. During this period, based on the created strategies, pilot actions are made on the already selected areas. In Hungary, in this phase the Municipality of Komló will transform the former socialist industrial center into a regional cultural center, and make it accessible for the disabled people.
